Wendy McDougal
Wendy McDougal is a mother of two girls, ages 10 and 7, a boy, age 3, and a two year-old Australian Shepherd mix. She is a stay-at-home mom, and is highly involved in her children's education and activities. A former high school science teacher, she holds a degree in Biology and a Master of Arts in Education. She enjoyed teaching Biology, physical science, and a girls' choir at the high school level before having children.
As a stay-at-home mom, Wendy has the opportunity to volunteer on several levels. She helped run a county playgroup for several years, and now volunteers at the elementary school regularly. She has taught Music Together classes for young children in the past, plays the piano, and makes music a priority in her household. She is highly interested in fitness and nutrition as well, and competed at the national level in college rowing. Wendy also enjoys running with her one-year old dog, and has taken up agility with him. Most of all, she relishes the time she spends with her kids doing activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, sports, and anything else that comes their way.
Wendy took writing classes in college and completed a Master's thesis. This is her first venture into article writing, and she is finding it enjoyable and rewarding.
